Understanding the Liaison Role
| A BUCC Liaison is... | A BUCC Liaison is Not.. |
| A designated contact for resources, programming ideas, and partnership planning. | A crisis responder or 24/7 contact. Call BUCC at (254) 710-2467 for urgent concerns. |
| A connector to BUCC trainings, services, referral information, and staff expertise. | A guaranteed individual provider for students encountered through outreach. |
| A collaborator for mental health awareness and student support strategies. | A replacement for the online outreach request process. |
| An advocate who shares student needs and partner feedback with BUCC. | Able to fulfill large-scale requests alone; liaison capacity is 1–2 hours per month |
| A resource for mental health strategies, stigma reduction, and student support | Required to access BUCC services; students will still schedule an initial appointment online or by phone |
