The Baylor University Counseling Center dietitian provides nutrition counseling within a nonjudgmental space. The dietitian and student work collaboratively to develop a personalized eating plan with each student’s health goals in mind. Regina works from weight neutral, non-diet, HAES (Health at Every Size) and Intuitive Eating philosophies to encourage a lifelong, positive relationship with food and body. Regina understands the challenges facing busy college students. She believes that a good relationship with nutrition is a cornerstone to wellness, social engagement and performing well in Baylor’s rigorous academic environment.
Baylor University campus dietitian helps students with:
- Medical diagnosis with nutrition implications including Diabetes, bone health, Cardiac diseases, Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, Arthritis and/or metabolic syndromes
- Food and body image concerns
- Eating disorders including disordered eating
- Digestive problems including lactose intolerance, celiac disease, and IBS
- Food allergies
- Vegetarian or vegan diet evaluations
- Unexplained appetite and energy fluctuations
- Vitamin or mineral deficiency related to diet
- Nutritional analysis
- Help students navigate food trends and myths, power of social media/diet
- Help students who utilize the campus meal plans navigate dining hall options
