What I do at the Counseling Center: As the Training Director, I coordinate the APA-Accredited internship in psychology - a full-time year of practical experience for doctoral students at the end of their degree. I also supervise the training programs for other graduate students completing their field experience with us.
How long I’ve been at Baylor: I’ve been working with Baylor students since 2015
What I’m passionate about: Suffering is real, y’all, and no one likes it. What I love is giving people enough support that they can face their pain and difficulties, then witnessing the transformations that happen as a result. That means I love a wide variety of work, from addressing anxiety and depression, to sorting through questions about faith or sexuality, or even managing the stresses of professional learning and leadership.
A little about me: I love being outdoors – most particularly for fishing, kayaking, hiking, or other adventures. I’ve got six kids that keep me young in many ways: Sampling what they baked, admiring their art, getting sucked into a board game, or having a spontaneous living room dance party.
